How do I place an Each Way or Win/Place bet?
An Each Way bet, known as Win/Place in Horse Racing and Greyhounds, is a good option if you're looking to back a selection to win, and also cover it to place. Essentially, it's two bets in one: one for the win and one for the place. The place part of your bet is settled based on the place terms advertised for the event.
Let's look at how to place an Each Way or Win/Place bet:
Once you've chosen the market you want to place a bet on, you may be able to see the Each Way box like below. Tick this box to turn your selection into an Each Way bet:
Another way to make sure your bet is an Each Way bet is by checking the wager. Your total wager will also be double the wager you have chosen to place on your selection.
What Is Each Way Extra?
The places available on your bet may also be able to be altered. This is called Each Way Extra.
This feature allows you to adjust the number of places in your Each Way bet. You can increase your chances of a return by adding places at reduced odds, or go for bigger odds by removing places.
To use Each Way Extra, select the Places text, as seen on the below image, and choose how many places will be available on your Each Way bet.
Please note, Each Way Extra bets are not eligible for Best Odds Guaranteed, except where the selected place terms match the standard or Place Boost Win and Win/Place market for that race.
